Busy few months!

Well... where do I start? It has been a busy few months as you can see by the absent daily or weekly posts.

Sommer is still working on potty training. She has #1 down still working on #2. :)

Kiersten is doing a reading challenge at school. She was challenged to read 10 hours and if they make it they get tickets to silverwood theme park. So far we are at 5.5 hours. It helps when we commute because she can read on the way to school and if she doesn't know the word she just spells it out for me and I tell her.

We bought a new car! Well new to us. 2011 Kia Soranto. I love it because it has three rows of seats. The back row folds down the dog fit very comfortably back there. Until dog outings we have the seats up and Kiersten seems to think it is very fun sitting back there. For me I don't know if I like having them WAY back there because it is nearly impossible to hand them things. So my short throw is getting better. :) It will be nice when the cousins are with us. Also for a trip to Oregon... can't wait!

Other than that life has been very fun! I love seeing how much Kiersten is learning in school. The other day she was playing "heads or tails" with a nickel and asked me "Mommy do you want the head side or the Monticello side?" I was like what? I took the nickel and looked at it and wowed in amazement that she knew what was on a nickel. Frankly I didn't even know! With all the presidents birthdays and presidents day they have been learning all about them. I was so shocked I had to call the Grandparents to tell them.

Now we just wait for some sunshine!

  1. Yay! for the new car. That is so nice to have more room and I laughed when you talked about having to throw things back to them. That's what we have to do in our bus! :) It is exciting to see the kids take off when they begin to read and learn so much in school. Way to go Girl! Paul is starting to read and that is fun to see too. I've been bugging Jason to figure out when we can have you all over again. We miss you guys! And I want pictures of you all muddy from the warrior dash. :)
