Leavenworth

It took Sommer exactly two minutes to fall asleep after when got her strapped into the car.  She was so tired.

We took a little day trip over to Leavenworth with the kids and we had a blast.  It did rain the whole time though.  The trip used to not take so long to drive when we lived in Ellensburg.  :)  Maybe thats why its taken us so long to go back.  Well Kiersten had a blast with her lolli-pop from the Taffy Shop and Sommer sampled some cheese from the cheese shop.  Mummm soooo good!!!  We had so much fun.  We ate at King Ludwigs and had an authentic German meal.  Kurt said he could eat that everyday.  Overall the day was awesome!  I love going there and seeing all the changes.  Its never exactly the same.  We need to go back when its green outside.  Even though it was raining and cold there were still lots of people there.  I was surprised to see so many tourists.

Very happy morning

When she woke up this morning she was in the best mood ever!

Strawberry fun

Sommer loves bananas so for breakfast I gave her a plate of strawberries and bananas.  She ate strawberries before but I think they were a little more sugar coated that time.  This time she had to take it out of her mouth and give it a good look. :)

Backyard Fun

Saturday was beautiful outside!  We cleaned up after the dog and put the castle toy out.  Sommer loved it!  She can climb up it and slide down all by herself.  Kiersten loves baseball.  She has a bat and ball but every time I pitch her the ball and she hits it, Sheriff goes chasing after it like crazy and then its all gross from his drool.  We need to get her a baseball mitt and a real ball.  I think this will be one of her favorite sports.

Just chillin

Sommer's favorite spot to hang out! She does a lot of climbing.

Perfect Hair

I love the French Braid. I think you are never too old for one. I still do it to my hair!

So Pretty!

Sommer can eat more food than Kiersten and I put together! Ha!  I have one picky eater and one eater that will eat any food she finds anywhere.  We just ate breakfast for dinner and Sommer ate soooo much!  Sommer reminds me of Sam off of icarly because Sam is always eating everyone's food and that exactly what Sommer does.  You could feed her really good and then think "ok now I can eat" and you go sit down to eat and she is at your feet in a split second to have a taste of what you are having.  She is so crazy.  Love it!!!

Just like sisters!

The girls and I took a little trip to visit Tara, Jose and Carmen.  It was so fun to let the girls play together.  Sommer had a blast with all the new toys and Kiersten and Carmen were cheerleaders for a while and they played house.  Kids are so funny.  I think adults need to take a break from adult world and be a kid more often.  Tara and I did while lip-syncing to the Barbie karaoke machine. :) Too bad I didn't get that picture right?

Mr. Yuk

I brought home some Mr. Yuk stickers that a friend from work had given me.  I was so excited to show Kiersten and teach her what they were for.  After we stickered the Windex and a few other common house hold items we stopped.  I then left the stickers on the counter.  A few minutes went by and Kiersten comes running into the living room. "Mommy come look!" she said.  I walk into the kitchen to find out that my oil air freshener and sheriff's food and water bowl have Mr. Yuk stickers on them.

As you can see we now have to posts signs in our house to make sure everyone knows that you don't eat the dog food.  Maybe this will help Sommer realize that. :)

Tape Measure Time

Out of all the toys the girls have they love playing with...not their toys...but anything else!  Sommer's new favorite is the tape measure.  I bet if someone put a cardboard box in the toy section at the store people would buy it and it would replace the hottest toy on the market.

Welcome Friends!

These are a few of Kiersten's stuffed animals.  I don't really notice it as much anymore but she always sets them out like this.  It's almost like she wants more people in the room so she just sets her animals out to watch her.
And of course she takes her favorite one to bed.  Her favorite stuffed animal is "kitty" a very nice animal Papa Fred got her.  She would take it everywhere if I let her. :)

Oma and Papa Fred!

Oma and Papa Fred came over for a lovely visit.  We had a nice lunch and a great time with the girls.  Above you can see Sommer talks on the phone...fisher price of course.  And as for Kiersten, well she is showing off her wonderful art work to Papa Fred.

Playing with Kiersten's Toys

I was chasing Sommer and this is what I came to.  Sommer sitting at the table playing with Kiersten's toys.  She sat there and played with the little toys just like Kiersten does.  It was so cute.  I can't beleive how fast they grow up. Kiersten keeps all of her little special toys in this treasure chest that her Grandma Diane sent her.  She loves it and if she knew that Sommer was sitting here playing with her special toys.... humm well the fit throwing might start.  :)
