Kiersten turns 9!

Kiersten had a pretty good weekend! She turned nine and we took the girls to Texas Roadhouse for the first time.  The picture below looks like someone gave kiersten bunny ears but it was a cactus perfectly lined up with her head! Lol! 

Then she got a fun Birthday cake and presents at home.  This year was the first time she didn't have a big old huge party. It was such a nice day out and we had a good time. Can't believe she's NINE! Crazy!!!!!

Pampering the girls!

The girls got an exciting surprise this morning.  They both got their nails and toes done.  Kierstens Birthday is tomorrow so this was part of her treat. First time with both of them in the salon and they did great! 

School Days!

School started and it's been busy! Getting these two up in the morning and ready for the day is a challenge some mornings. But they make me laugh. Kiersten I found out is a true Vikings fan. Purple in one ear gold in the other! All on her own too! And then there's the bear shelf. We switched the top bear to the school bear. Each holiday or month a different themed bear gets the privilege of sitting on top! Thanks Grandma Diane :) 

First Day of Third Grade!

I can't believe she's a third grader!!!!! They grow so fast. She was so excited to go back to school! 

Pickling cucumbers!

Time for so famous bread and butters! Thanks Bill and Meryl for the recipe :) hope ours taste as good as yours!!!!!!!!

And thanks to our friends that have us a ton of cucumbers since ours didn't do too well this year! 

Sundays Best!

One last visit

One last visit from my family from Germany. Now they are on their way back home. We had a little family FaceTime Sunday night and it was a big cry fest! I just met my brother Mark but it feels like we have known each other for years! He reminds me so much of my little brother JC. Some day again we will see them. What a great visit. We looked at old photos and ate great food. And then sat on the back deck with our cool new tiki torches! Good memories!
