Busy few months!

Well... where do I start? It has been a busy few months as you can see by the absent daily or weekly posts. 

Sommer is still working on potty training. She has #1 down still working on #2. :)

Kiersten is doing a reading challenge at school. She was challenged to read 10 hours and if they make it they get tickets to silverwood theme park. So far we are at 5.5 hours. It helps when we commute because she can read on the way to school and if she doesn't know the word she just spells it out for me and I tell her.

We bought a new car! Well new to us. 2011 Kia Soranto. I love it because it has three rows of seats. The back row folds down the dog fit very comfortably back there. Until dog outings we have the seats up and Kiersten seems to think it is very fun sitting back there. For me I don't know if I like having them WAY back there because it is nearly impossible to hand them things. So my short throw is getting better. :) It will be nice when the cousins are with us. Also for a trip to Oregon... can't wait!

Other than that life has been very fun! I love seeing how much Kiersten is learning in school. The other day she was playing "heads or tails" with a nickel and asked me "Mommy do you want the head side or the Monticello side?" I was like what? I took the nickel and looked at it and wowed in amazement that she knew what was on a nickel. Frankly I didn't even know! With all the presidents birthdays and presidents day they have been learning all about them. I was so shocked I had to call the Grandparents to tell them.

Now we just wait for some sunshine!

Sledding!

We went sledding at one of the local parks.  It wasn't a very big hill but it was perfect for the girls! Sommer was so funny. She had so many layers of clothes on that when she went down by herself on the sled she had to either go on her tummy or flat on her back. It was hilarious! Kiersten had so much fun!  Unfortunately my phone died and it cut off the next part of the video. I know I am like the most unprepared person sometimes!

We weren't invited!

Apparently Kurt and I weren't invited. Didn't know until bedtime though!!!

Snow, Snow and more SNOW!

And there's Sommer... She was not too happy with me because she just wanted to be held so she can ring the door bell.  She weighs even more with all that gear on!

Happy 2nd Birthday Sommer!

Sommer turned two! I can't believe it. She is growing up so fast! We had a very nice family birthday party. Kurt had the day off so when I got home with Kiersten he had the table all set with all the decorations out. The video camera was set up too and Sommers cake. What a nice surprise.

Half Time

This is video from my phone so its not the best quality. I think it turned out ok considering I had a 2 year old sitting in my lap! :)   They did 3 or 4 cheers and a dance to Big Time Rush. The dance isn't in this video. I recorded it separately but didn't post it because my battery on my phone was low and it recorded the low battery sign over the entire screen! Silly phones!
